Ongoing Research Projects

IPAR-Rwanda has been commissioned by the Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Rwanda to conduct a study on corruption in decentralized entities from Districts to Villages.

The study has four objectives including (i) To provide basic data on the status of corruption in decentralized entities and propose strategies to eradicate it ; (ii) To identify the predominant types of corruption in decentralized entities and the sectors of activities that are riskiest to corruption ; and (iii) to demonstrate possible causes of corruption in decentralized entities ; as well as to (iv) propose sectorial strategies to curb corruption in the decentralized entities.
