Ongoing Research Projects

IPAR-Rwanda in collaboration with the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Kigali (CHUK) is conducting a study on the “The Social Impact of a Specialist Pediatric Surgical Service in Rwanda : A Qualitative Evaluation of the Effects on Child, Family and Community.” IPAR-Rwanda was awarded a grant after a proposal was submitted and later signed a contract with the University Court of the University of Aberdeen, a charity registered in Scotland to carry out the study in 30 months. The results of this study are expected to inform future decisions on Specialist Paediatric Surgical Service in Rwanda. The study is currently approaching data collection phase.
